Lavon tycoon Elon Musk on Biden: Tesla “harassed” because I criticize him

by

The tycoon Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world and CEO of Tesla Inc., “breaks out” against Joe Biden.

He blamed the US Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday (SEC) that he is harassing himself and his company, with an “endless” and “uninterrupted” investigation, in order to punish Musk for his attitude of publicly criticizing the US government.

The complaint was made in a letter to Manhattan District Judge Allison Nathan, who chaired a 2018 settlement following Musk posted on Twitter about a possible acquisition of Tesla.

“Mr. Musk and Tesla respectfully seek a course correction,” wrote Alex Spiro, a lawyer for Musk and Tesla. “Enough so far.”

The SEC declined to comment. With a one-line decision issued by Nathan, he instructed the commission to react by February 24.

Thursday’s letter escalates Musk’s battle with regulators as his social media posts and company’s treatment of Tesla’s employees are investigated, including allegations of discrimination.

The letter, followed by a revelation by Tesla on February 7, that it had received a call from the committee regarding its compliance with the 2018 settlement.

The SEC has filed a lawsuit against Musk in August 2018, following a post on Twitter, according to which he had “secured funding” for the possibility of privatizing his electric vehicle company, with a share price of $ 420. In fact, there was no takeover move.

Tesla and Musk made a settlement by agreeing to pay $ 20 million in fines from the company and its owner, and Tesla’s lawyers could investigate some of Musk’s communications, including Twitter posts, which could affect the course of Tesla’s stock price.

Musk also resigned as chairman of Tesla.

The last call for deposits came on November 16, ten days after a poll was conducted by Musk among his followers on Twitter about whether he should sell 10% of his share capital to Tesla, causing a sell-off.

Musk has a vendetta with Biden… On Wednesday, he responded to Joe Biden by saying that Tesla Model 3 is the “most American car in the country”. Last week, the US president announced that the federal government would make most of its vehicles electric.

He had called the US president “a wet sock in human form” after posting a video on Twitter saying that GM and Ford were building more electric vehicles in the US than ever before, without mentioning Tesla.
