The bride-to-be of the son of India’s richest man was accused of copying her pre-wedding speech from the Hollywood film “Shall We Dance”.

The pre-wedding celebration of Radhika Merchant, 29, and Anant Ambani, 28, last week it made headlines around the world for the lavishness of the event which cost more than £100m.

But amid the pomp, with more than 1,500 guests, there was an intimate and personal moment when Merchant delivered her heartfelt speech about her husband-to-be.

However, cyber researchers later discovered that the heartfelt speech was Susan Sarandon’s scene in the 2004 romantic comedy Shall We Dance.

Although some say it could be an innocent reenactment of Rahika’s “favorite scene,” others are adamant: she stole it and moved it mot a mot.

In her tender speech, Radhika Merchant said, among other things: “In a marriage you promise to care about everything, the good, the bad, the terrible and the trivial. All. You say your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice. Your life will not go unchallenged because I will notice it.”

The copying of the speech seemed to go completely unnoticed when a fan of the film, Sadiq Saleem, posted both clips on Instagram with the comment: “They could call me. I would have changed the wording for them for a few crores.”
