The photo of Kate Middleton with her children published on social media on Mother’s Day in the United Kingdom continues to resonate. Now, Instagram has decided to place an alert just below the image published on the official profile of the Prince and Princess of Wales.
In it, the platform points out, in red, that the image was tampered with and that it underwent an analysis by verifiers.
Even after apologizing for the manipulation and claiming that she had “experimented with editing”, Kate did not delete the photo from her profiles. News agencies removed the material from her platforms.
Among some signs of manipulation, a detail of the princess’s left hand, hugging her daughter’s waist, who is without a wedding ring. In the same region of the image, there appears to be a lack of continuity, as part of the cuff of Princess Charlotte’s red blouse is missing. The sleeve begins to disappear and blend with the checkered print of the skirt.
Despite being a darker part, the zipper on Kate’s coat, right in the center of the photo, also shows a lack of alignment, as does part of a ladder on the floor behind the family.
Since January, when she underwent abdominal surgery, Kate Middleton has not been seen in public, which even led to memes about the princess’s “disappearance”. The photo, which was intended to alleviate the anguish of those who wanted news about Kate, became an additional concern in the royal family’s routine.
