Eutyches and Electra start from the southeast of Sicily and Syracuse, the most important city of Greater Greece and home of the famous Archimedes. They stroll through the old town and see what is left of the ancient historical city. Then they go to the archaeological site with the ancient theater, the famous cave called the “ear of Dionysus” and the place where Archimedes is said to have been buried after his death during the siege of the city by the Romans.

The next stop of the trek is the center of Sicily, the city of Enna, built on top of a mountain. A historical city that is also called the navel of Sicily and is the same distance from the 3 coasts of the island. There they see the impressive fortress and the emblematic rock on which is said to have once been a temple of the goddess Demeter.

The journey continues to the southern coast of Sicily, to Akraganta and the so-called Valley of the Temples where, among others, one of the most well-preserved ancient Greek temples in the world is preserved. They admire the immense beauty of the landscape, learning the history of the place and taking a small trip back in time.

A journey to a region where the Greek spirit flourished and flourished 2,500 thousand years ago and continues in the next episode as Sicily still has a lot to show the SKAI viewers.
