Megan Fox, 37, revisited her old relationship with Brian Austin Green, 50, in a podcast interview this Wednesday (20). The two lived together for 15 years, were married for ten and have three children.
“I wasn’t a good partner for Brian, to be honest,” said the actress. “He wasn’t good to me all the time either, but I think it was easier for me to maintain that and keep complaining. I wasn’t good, I was very young and I wasn’t ready for a relationship and a commitment of that magnitude,” he revealed.
The actress also said that she fell in love with other people all the time. “I went to work and fell in love. I was a child. I had never had the freedom to be single and have experiences. I thought that when I got divorced, I would finally experience this, but I was single for three weeks”, said she, who is currently dating singer Machine Gun Kelly.
Megan and Brian started dating in 2004, when the actress was just 18 years old. He was 31. The two married in 2010 and are parents to Noah, 10, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 6. The couple separated in 2020. Brian has remarried and has another two-year-old son.
Still in an interview with the podcast, Megan revealed that she felt like she was following in her own mother’s footsteps in an unsatisfactory marriage. “I got married impulsively, as if it were an adventure, and I had been with him for so many years that it was natural. I think karmically I was destined to have these children with him,” she said.
“I didn’t realize I was reliving my mother’s life and carrying her burden. I entered into an unsatisfactory marriage, not because of Brian, but because I was just reenacting what I saw my mother do my entire life,” he said.
