Rob Kardashian, 34, famous for participating in the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, ended a years-long legal battle with ex-fiancée, socialite Blac Chyna, 33. He has filed a request to close his assault case against Chyna. so as not to harm their daughter Dream, 5, according to a statement sent this Friday (18) to Page Six.
“My love for Dream far outweighs my desire to pursue my claims against her mother in a public trial,” said Kardashian, who dropped the lawsuit after the judge denied a postponement of the trial, scheduled for next week.
“Now that the court has ruled that there is enough evidence to warrant a jury trial on my assault allegation, for the sake of our daughter, I am dismissing the suit and focusing on my co-parenting relationship with Chyna.”
Kardashian sued Chyna in September 2017 for assault, claiming she tried to strangle him with an iPhone charger cable after consuming large amounts of drugs and alcohol.
Businesswoman Kim Kardashian’s brother claimed at the time that he suffered neck injuries, which he later showed on social media. Chyna has denied her ex-fiancé’s allegations.
At the trial, which was called off, Kardashian’s two friends Eugene Shpilsky and Victory Belz would be called to testify. They claim to have witnessed Chyna point a gun at Kardashian. Kris Jenner’s longtime boyfriend Corey Gamble was also supposed to appear in Kardashian’s defense.
