The Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group has inked a multi-year deal with “Dune” and “Wonka” star Timothée Chalamet for first-run films in which he will star and produce.
According to Deadline, the two recent productions have brought in $1.6 billion in the studio’s coffers. Salameh is the first actor in four decades to star in two top-grossing films in the US within eight months.
“Over the past few years, we’ve admired not only Timote’s commitment to his craft, which is evident through his varied roles, but also his unwavering dedication to devoting 100% of his time and attention to every project he’s done. here at Warner Bros. and elsewhere,” Michael DeLuca and Pamela Abdy, WB co-chairmen and CEOs, said in a joint statement.
“His collaboration with us on ‘Dune’ and ‘Wonka’ is something we all thoroughly enjoyed and the results speak for themselves. We continue to build for the future of cinema at Warner Bros. Discovery and we are thrilled that Timothy has chosen our studio to be his creative home,” they added.
