Born in Brooklyn, former boxer Mike Tyson, 57, plans to hold a big event in New York City in April to promote his ear-shaped bullets. The delicacy is a way for him to make money based on the memory of the bite he gave Evander Holyfield in a fight in 1996.
In 2022, he had already launched two new flavors of his line of candies called Mike Bites (Mike bites in literal translation from English).
To advertise the watermelon-flavored candy, the former fighter shared a video on Instagram looking for the candy package in the fruit. Laughing, he punched the watermelon and took out a packet of candy.
On Twitter, he appeared sitting at a table biting a green apple and carrying packets of candy. “Proud to announce my new line of Delta 8 Mike Bites products,” he wrote in the video’s caption.
“I want to know what Evander Holyfield thinks about his ear being used to advertise his new product,” commented one user on Instagram. “Mike you need to give a package [de balas] to Evander Holyfield”, joked another user on the social network.
In March of that same year, Mike had already released marijuana candies in the same bitten ear shape. Tyson 2.0, the boxer’s cannabis brand, sold out its entire stock of gummy bears in just one day.
