After being allegedly needled by Flora Matos on X (Twitter), Ludmilla decided to speak out this Saturday (30).
The rapper made a mysterious post attacking someone for imitating Beyoncé. Fans quickly linked the criticism to Ludmilla, as the funk singer is a declared fan of the American and even called herself MC Beyoncé at the beginning of her career.
“Another day with my name floating around and me the way Brazil likes to see a black woman: Quiet, silent, taking hits without defending myself, because if not, I’ll still come off as wrong. I stopped the Coachella rehearsal here to do what I’ve been doing all this time: work. Do you know what I have to say? That the pre-save of my new song is now available”, wrote Lud.
Flora, who usually speaks her mind on social media, ended up deleting the text, which said: “If I could give you some advice I would say: mona, try to find your own style, make a difference. Copying Beyoncé won’t turn you into the Beyoncé and not even bring you some concept. ‘Homaging’ Beyoncé does not cancel out the fact that you use other reference artists, but you hide it, you don’t talk about it. You try to create rivalry disguised as a friendly invitation, invite people to sing at your show and doesn’t even pay a single real, but boasts millions that he invests in the stage structure”, wrote the rapper.
After being attacked by Ludmilla’s fans, she made a kind of retraction, praising the Rio singer. “Ludmilla, you are f*ck and can do anything,” wrote the rapper. Afterwards, she republished a video of Ludmilla sent by a fan.
