Maiara, from the duo with Maraísa, has spoken openly about the weight loss process she has been going through in recent months. This Thursday (11), she said she had recently undergone intimate surgery, known as nymphoplasty, to remove excess skin from the labia minora.
This procedure is recommended for those who lose a lot of weight and end up with possible asymmetries in the genital organ. Maiara stated that she has lost 30 pounds in the last six months. “I underwent the nymphoplasty process, which is an intimate surgery. I did it because of the excess skin, I had lost a lot of weight,” she explained.
According to the singer, in addition to aesthetics, the surgery provided functional improvements. “In the end, I saw that physiologically it was the best thing I did in my life. I discovered myself as a new woman,” she said while participating in the program Sabadou com Virgínia, on SBT.
Maiara continued: “People have a taboo about this. I did it for visual reasons, but physiologically it was the best thing. The feeling I have today is of sexual freedom and it made me feel more like a woman.” The singer also reinforced the importance of female self-knowledge. “There is also the issue that we women have to know ourselves.
