Actress Christa B. Allen, who played the teen version of Jenna Rink in the movie “Suddenly 30” (2004), turned 30 this Thursday (11) and celebrated the date on her Instagram. A week before her birthday, she left a message for all the women.
“To any young woman who is uncomfortable with aging because capitalism or society, or whatever has somehow convinced you that it has an expiration date related to your youth or beauty, I would just like to say that literally , never in my life have I felt sexier, smarter, or more powerful than I am now,” he wrote in Stories.
“You have nothing to fear, your future is filled with beauties of all kinds. More wisdom and a glorious diversity of experiences await you. Your blessings are just beginning,” added the actress, who played the teen version of the role of Jennifer Garner, 48.
On social media, fans of the film also celebrated the date. “I’ll have to see ‘De Repente 30’ for the thousandth time, that’s about it,” wrote one netizen. “If she doesn’t have a party like ‘De Repente 30’, no one else can,” said another.
Recently, singer Ariana Grande, 28, wore a dress inspired by the classic movie. The artist recreated Jenna Rink’s iconic dress, and appeared wearing the piece in her Stories. The outfit was used in yet another night of The Voice USA, in which Grande entered as a judge to replace Nick Jornas, 29.
In addition to the dress, made by the Versace brand, she was also inspired by the teenage character to do her hairstyle. Jenna uses the outfit in the scene of a landmark party in the plot, in which she makes the other guests dance the choreography of the song “Thriller” (1982), hit by Michael Jackson (1958–2009).
