Anitta is moved by Mariah Carey’s statement after the show and says she had a dream come true: ‘I never imagined’

Anitta never hid that her inspiration in music was Mariah Carey. In December 2019, the singer had already met the singer of “Without You”, in Aspen, United States, but had yet to go to a show. This Saturday (13), she fulfilled not only hers but also the dream of her aunt, Marcia Macedo, one of Mariah’s biggest fans and responsible for influencing the Brazilian to listen to her since she was little.

Anitta, who turned 31 at the end of March with a party in Miami, attended Mariah’s performance at Dolby Live at Park MGM, in Las Vegas, and was moved. “Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined being able to be at your show, even less being welcomed by your wonderful team, even less introducing my aunt to her. Mariah received us with so much love”, highlighted the singer.

She continued: “I cried during the show thinking how blessed my life is, how many dreams my career helped me achieve. I thought: what if I had given up in that difficult situation? I wouldn’t be here today, not at the show, not in the dressing room or in the various other opportunities that life has given me.”

“My aunt flew from Brazil to Vegas just to see our diva for two nights in a row, and I was able to provide her with this moment of gratitude. It was worth every minute. What happiness”, concluded the singer, who took a photo with Mariah Carey in the dressing room .
