In her interview, Natalie Portman spoke about the importance of looking forward instead of looking back and that she is drawn to works about women seeking freedom.
When asked if she thinks too much about any of the previous characters she’s played, the Oscar winner said: “I tend to move forward.”
The actress explained: “I don’t dwell on the past, but there are certain themes that I’ve dealt with more than once, like the roles we play for others in relation to who we really are, especially the ones women have to play for different people in their lives.”
And he added: “Women’s freedom and being able to tell their own stories is a theme that comes up often, not intentionally, but in retrospect I can say, ‘I’m drawn to these themes.'”
