Sixth the Women’s National at the European Golley Championship

The sixth place was conquered by National Women’s Golley Team at the European Championship that ended in Pagulachti, Finland.

In an amazing match against Great Britain, the girls of Meni Kessanopoulou fought with all their might until the end, but lost 3-1 and took 6th place in the event.

Ethniki had lost 2-1 to the quarter-finals by the home team, while the match with France for 5-8 ended 4-3 in favor of the Greek team.

The Greek team, a strong opponent for all European countries, has conceded the fewest goals in the competition by playing amazing defense!

The federal coach stressed in her statement:

“Warmest congratulations to all the mission for the harmonious and successful coexistence. Particularly congratulations to all the athletes who overcame themselves, and I am fully aware, as our national team had to compete in any event since May 2024. The 6th place looks platinum and I am very pleased.

I hope and want more support so that the National Women’s Gallery team has a worthy capacity in the world championship in 2026 that is so hard to try to secure. ”

The Greek mission is returning to Greece today (6/10).
