“I’ve always been a curvy woman. This is my nature and I want to grow old peacefully,” revealed the famous actress
Monica Bellucci she still makes the male population “heartbeat” and at 59 she looks just as impressive… The famous actress was photographed for the cover of the Spanish “Elle”, showing off her famous curves and posing without a bra.
Monica Bellucci has opened up about her age, explaining that she has come to terms with aging. “I am like all other people. I tell myself that it is useless to go against something that is stronger than me. And if time flies, it means you’re lucky to still be here.
Biological age has consequences, we no longer enjoy the advantages of youth. The important thing is to continue to feel good and do things that I like and that stimulate me”.

Despite being renowned for her incredible beauty – she made her modeling debut aged just 16 – Monica insisted her success is about more than her looks.
“I’m 59 and still working, so I don’t think it’s just about beauty. The initial curiosity ends up in the void if there is nothing else behind it”.
Monica previously shared her thoughts on age in an interview with ‘Sunday Times Style’ magazine. She had stated that she wants to age gracefully and peacefully, while underlining that she is not obsessed with maintaining her figure in her 50s.
The actress said she prefers wine, pasta and the occasional Pilates class to grueling workouts and diets.
“I’ve always been a curvy woman. This is my nature and I want to grow old peacefully. When you’re 50 or 60 you don’t have the same needs as when you’re 20. You change and your priorities change, especially when there are children. We come second. This gives us another perspective”he said.
Elsewhere in the Elle interview, Monica explained how things have changed for her these days, saying she’s more able to express her femininity than in the past.
She spoke about the film industry’s traditional tendency to reject women of a certain age and how she herself approaches female characters.
“Today, we have the freedom to express our femininity however we want. I change over time, I evolve. From a girl you become a young woman, a mother, a mature woman…
Artistically speaking, at the age of 50 I made two films: “In the Milky Way”, by Emir Kusturica, and “Spectre”, by Sam Mendes. These directors gave me dynamic roles and the opportunity to ‘escape’ from the age of 50, which is not easy for an actress”.

She had been married twice before, aged 25 to Italian photographer Claudio Carlos Basso in 1990, and divorced the following year. She was also married to French actor, Vincent Cassel, after they met on the set of the movie ‘The Apartment’. They were married from 1999 to 2013 and had two daughters together.
