After a bidding war Netflix secured the series Calabasas with the Kim KardashianEmma Roberts and its creator “Pretty Little Liars”Marlene King, to serve as executive producers, Variety has confirmed.

Based on the 2021 book “If You Lived Here You’d Be Famous by Now”, by Via Bleidner, the upcoming series follows a 16-year-old Catholic high school student who finds herself on unknown paths when her family moves and she is forced to attend Calabasas High School. King will adapt the script and serve as the series’ showrunner.

It’s another collaboration between Kardashian and Roberts after “American Horror Story: Delicate.” While the city in which the famous businesswoman lives with her family has been “starred” many times in the reality shows “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and “The Kardashians” of Hulu.

In addition to the “Calabasas” series, Netflix last year secured the rights to the comedy “The Fifth Wheel,” in which Kardashian stars and also produces.
