Several crew members injured during an accident on the Atlanta set of Amazon’s upcoming MGM Studios movie “The Pickup”as Deadline confirmed.
“On April 20, an accident occurred on the set of ‘The Pickup’ during the rehearsal of an action sequence. Unfortunately, the scene did not go as planned and several crew members were injured.” said a spokesperson for the studio.
“We are still in the process of gathering evidence about what happened and why, but first and foremost our thoughts are with those who are recovering.”

According to sources close to the production, as reported by Deadline the director and producer of the film, Tim Story, was not in that particular part of the set when the accident happened.
The Associated Press, which first broke the news, said a truck “stalled” and suddenly collided with a car, sending two people to the hospital.
The upcoming film stars Eddie Murphy with Pete Davidson, Keke Palmer, Andrew Dice Clay, Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Jack Kesey and Marson Lynch.
