New director of Miss Universe Brazil speaks out after mass resignation of coordinators

The new director of Miss Universe Brazil, Gerson Antonelli, spoke after the joint resignation of several state coordinators dissatisfied with the new management. In a statement, the CEO defended himself and said what measures will be taken to replace the former managers.

Antonelli also denounced the former collaborators for acting in disagreement with the contest: “It is necessary to clarify that these coordinators were publicizing the opening and making registrations for the state contests without any permission from the Miss Universe Organization.” “The organizing entity was carrying out the selection process to be able to choose and announce the new National Director,” he said.

He makes it clear that his franchise began on April 17, 2024 and, therefore, he does not owe any explanation about the actions of the coordinators before this date. At the moment, he says he is evaluating new profiles that can “maintain the level and grandeur that the Miss Universe Organization competition deserves.” “We will certainly have qualified people to replace them”, he added.
