Distraught Panathinaikos responded emphatically to Maccabi with a one man show by Sloukas!

With the leader of the improbable Kostas Sloukas which set a career record with 29 pointsthe “greens” won emphatically with a score of 95-79 Maccabi Tel Aviv in OAKA-volcano, they tied the series at 1-1 and go to Belgrade for the “double” that will give them a qualification lead!

For about 15 minutes, Panathinaikos AKTOR brought out on the floor the same problems as those of the first match, with Maccabi to hold the reins comfortably. From the 15th minute onward, with forwards him Kostas Sloukas in the attack and him Ioannis Papapetrou on defense, the home team went on a 19-3 run that turned a 32-36 lead into a 51-39 lead, setting the stage for the win.

Even when the Maccabi came back and reduced it to 3 in the fourth quarter (71-68), the two were there and put the home team under complete control again in the match against Panathinaikos ACTOR to turn the match into a party in the finale.

The match

The visitors scored first with a three-pointer by Cohen, while he also scored a second three-pointer. THE Mitoglou nailed and cut to 4-6, while Nan tripled from the top to make it 7-8.
