“I feel like I can finally breathe,” the actress said after revealing her gender identity
Sophia Bush “broke” her silence about her much-discussed love life through her text published in the magazine “Glamour”.
The 41-year-old star revealed what is happening to her 38-year-old athlete Ashlyn Harrisfollowing her 2023 divorce from Grant Hugheswhom she married in 2022. Bush revealed that she now identifies as queer: “I feel like I can finally breathe”he said.

The actress mentioned that she is in love with her Ashlyn Harris, with whom they became friends in 2019 and then began a romantic relationship in October 2023 after her marriage to Grant ended and Ashlyn left her husband.
“I didn’t expect to find love”she wrote in her text, underlining that her relationship with her partner is rare and beautiful. “I didn’t know this existed until I experienced it”writes, among other things, the actress.
Also, Sophia Bush revealed that she never hid her sexual identity from her previous partners and told everyone that she was attracted to women. Apart from Hughes, the actress was also married to Chad Michael Murray from 2005 to 2006.
Sophia Bush has detailed her fertility struggle with her ex-husband, which she says was heartbreaking. As for falling in love with Ashlyn, who is a former soccer player, it’s a new experience for her.
“I think it’s very easy to not see something that’s been in front of you for a long time when you’ve never seen it as an option and you’ve never been seen as an option. What I saw was a girlfriend. And now I know he thought the same thing about me. The people who saw us – without knowing us – had no idea how much time it took, how many painful conversations took place. The actress also noted that many lies were told and violent threats were made against her because she was with Harris. “Those who said I left my ex because I suddenly realized I wanted to be with women are slanderers.
