Kayky Brito recalls the accident and gives details of her current state of health: ‘I’m alive’

Eight months after being hit by a car that almost caused his death, actor Kayky Brito, 36, returned to social media to update fans about his current state of health.

According to him, there is a lot of gratitude for all the people who cheered him on and sent positive energy during his most difficult time. “Because I think I owe part of my life to you,” he said.

Away from the internet, he said he has dedicated himself to sport. “I imagine that a lot of people must be asking: ‘Hey, Kayky, it’s gone. Is everything okay?’. I’m fine, thank God, I’m recovering mentally and physically,” he said.

Afterwards, he showed some scars on his arms. “These two giant screws that I have in my hip don’t hurt when I pedal. What hurts now is resting my hand on the handlebars, that elbow. I got 50 stitches, I don’t know,” he showed.

The actor said that he has been recovering little by little and has been using the bicycle to abstract himself. “When I finish this exercise I feel very good. Thank God, I’m alive and able to talk to you. God is good all the time.”

REMEMBER THE CASE

Kayky was with friends, including actor and presenter Bruno de Luca, shortly before being run over, on September 2, 2023. According to police chief Ângelo Lages, who led the investigations into the case, Kayky was at the Dona Marta kiosk, located at post 6 in Barra da Tijuca.

He was having fun with friends when he went to the car to get an object. When trying to return to the location, he was run over by app driver Diones da Silva and suffered multiple traumas.

The Civil Police concluded that the driver was below the speed of the road. He provided assistance immediately after the accident. The main witness in the case confirmed the version.

On the 29th of that month, Brito was discharged from the hospital.
