Singer Zeca Pagodinho accidentally met former president Michel Temer (MDB) in the lobby of a luxurious hotel in São Paulo, but did not recognize him. “I know you from somewhere,” said the samba singer.
The person accompanying the politician was his former minister Carlos Marun. In contact with the F5Marun states that apparently neither of them knew who the other was.
“Actually, I know them both and I’m a fan of both and I had the pleasure of introducing them to each other”, he says.
“I was the one who recognized Zeca and called him. He approached and my impression was that neither of them recognized the other. They only knew that they had already seen each other from somewhere. After a selfie, they exchanged a fraternal and brief conversation”, says Marun.
In 2018, the then mayor of São Paulo, João Doria Jr. (PSDB), went through something similar during Carnival in Anhembi. He decided to visit a box where several artists followed the samba school parades.
When he met Zeca in a VIP area, he was unable to contact him immediately, as the musician preferred to go to the corner and not pay attention to the politician. Doria greeted the singer and wanted to take a photo with him. Pagodinho frowned and walked away. Businessman Álvaro Aoas, owner of the box, had to intervene to convince the pagodeiro to make the image.
