Mano Brown denies that he will participate in Rock in Rio 2024

After being announced as one of the attractions of a “Forever Rap” show at Rock in Rio 2024, Mano Brown denied the festival’s production. The leader of Racionais MC’s denied participating in the meeting, scheduled for September 21st, O Dia Brasil, as the project was named, alongside Criolo, Djonga, Karol Conka, Marcelo D2 and Rael, on the Sunset Stage.

“Mano Brown will not be at the event and at no point has he been confirmed. Out of respect for the public and to avoid any wear and tear, we feel it is important to write this note”, says the statement from the artist’s advisor released this Tuesday (7). The rapper’s publication ends by wishing luck for the festival and “a great show to the rest of our companions.”

The singer performed at Rock in Rio on the Sunset Stage in 2019 with his solo project, and in 2021 with Racionais. The group was also an attraction at The Town, organized by the same team as the Rio festival, in its inaugural edition last year, in São Paulo.

Rock in Rio turns 40 years old in this edition and takes place on the 13th, 14th, 15th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of September 2024. In addition to national names, international attractions such as Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Cindy Lauper, Travis Scott , Ed Sheeren, and Akon are already confirmed.
