“So now that I’m free I can talk about anything right?” said Bambie Thug and started…
After the end of the … episodic grand final of Eurovision and the victory of the Swiss Nemo, Ireland – or rather Bambie Thug – went on a rampage against the EBU, firing shots at Israel.
“So now that I’m free I can talk about anything right? KAN, (Israel’s broadcaster), incited violence against me twice, three times. We reported it to the EBU, they said they would look into it. They waited until the last minute, we still haven’t heard back,” the also non-binary person (and Nemo is non-binary) complained to the cameras.
“The EBU allowed us to be scapegoats, allowed us to be our own representative to defend him. This broadcaster disobeyed the rules and I hope next year they are not allowed to compete because of this,” he continued.
Afterwards, Bambie Thug said: “I’m so proud of Nemo. I am so proud of all of us. We managed to get into the top ten. We were fighting so much about many things behind the scenes. It was so hard for all of us. I am so proud of us. And I want to say that we are Eurovision, it’s not the EBU, fuck them, I don’t care anymore”.
He then added: “What we contestants do, the community we’ve built, the love, the support we have for each other, that’s what makes the difference. The people have spoken. Non-binary wins”
