Kate Hudson she made one of her dreams come true: to become a rock star. On May 17, her debut album will be released, “Glorious”.

“Music was my first love”, she says in an interview with “People”. The songs hide the wisdom she’s gained over the course of her life—her mother is Goldie Hawn—as well as from raising her three children.

This record is “me”. Through all my ups and downs and then it’s all the things that happen when you love a partner, your friends, your children… What a wonderful thing to have that much love.”says the actress with disarming honesty.

Music has shaped Kate Hudson’s life in more ways than one. She made her big acting breakthrough – and won an Oscar – playing Penny Lane in writer-director Cameron Crowe’s 2000 drama Almost Famous. “That was the beginning of everything for me,” says the actress.

By 2003 she had established herself as a movie star with ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days’ and this caused her to put a brake on her musical ambitions.

“Music and making my own record took a backseat to what was going on in my career at the time,” he points out, “but I never lost sight of what I love.”. Thus, the actress realized her dream and she is proud of it.
