With small reshuffles, with the country’s prime minister even richer, with King Charles and with a Greek color, especially Cypriot, it is this year’s list of richest residents of the United Kingdom, as compiled by Sunday Times.

THE Rich List 2024 has as last year in peak the 84-year-old Indian tycoon Gopi Hinduja and his family with a fortune of £37.2 billion. It is the head of a group active in many sectors, from construction and finance to energy and information technology.

In previous years he was joined on the list by his older brother Sri, who died a year ago.

Follows with a fortune of 29.2 billion pounds the owner of the music group among others Warner Music Sir Leonard Blavatnikborn in Ukraine, who wins one place.

In place 74 ranks the Cypriot Lazaris familyof the real estate empire of the same name, with a fortune of 2.4 billion pounds.

THE Sir Stelios Hatziioannoufounder of the Easy group, is this year 95th with 1.8 billion pounds.

Duty free tycoon Robert Miller answers in position 118, together with his daughter Marie Sandal, a member of the former royal family of Greece. The family’s total fortune is estimated at £1.43 billion.

The Greek presence is closed in place 244 the George and Konstantinos Logothetis of Libra Group with 665 million pounds.

The UK’s richest Greek last year, Glencore commodities tycoon Telis Mystakidis, is not on this year’s list as he has returned to Greece.

Sunak richer than the king

Important presences are in position 245 the prime minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Aksata Murthy, scion of an Indian electronics tycoon. The British Prime Minister’s couple increased their fortune this year to 651 million pounds.

They are ranked three places above him King Charleswhose fortune is estimated at £610m, with most of it coming from the properties he inherited, such as Sandringham and Balmoral.

Other well-known presences in this year’s Rich List are sir paul mccartney, now a billionaire in position 165, with a fortune of £1 billion, the author of the Harry Potter books JK Rowling (position 175, 945 million pounds), o Sir Elton John (291, 470 million pounds), the beckham couple (£297.455m), the musician and television producer Simon Cowell (315, 415 million pounds), ser Mick Jagger and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones (also 315th at £415m), as well as Formula 1 champion Sir Lewis Hamilton (closes the list at 350 with 350 million pounds).

There are 165 billionaires on this year’s Rich List, six fewer than in 2023.

The combined wealth of Britain’s 350 richest people is £795.4 billion.
