The Municipal Theater of Lycabettus is back, ready to give us unforgettable moments under the sky of Athens! From the end of May until October and for more than 50 nights, the hill of Lycabettus will be filled with sounds and melodies from big names of the Greek and international music scene, but also with top shows of high aesthetics and quality. Bringing with them energy and passion to create evenings full of emotion, those who find themselves on the stage of the Lycabettus Municipal Theater will join the audience and together create indelible memories in one of the most beautiful and emblematic places of the city, turning each of our evenings into a unique experience.

Wednesday, May 22

In the first complete season of the new era of Lycabettus, the program curated by the Athens Municipality Technopolis opens on Wednesday, May 22 with strong melodic techno vibes combined with fantastic visuals. Mathame, the techno duo of the Italian brothers Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli, considered one of the most sought-after acts in the world of dance music, set up a spectacular AV show, with guests Lyke and SONA. Continuation on Saturday, May 25 with Alexandros Tsouvelas, who, more prepared and ready to fight than ever, will celebrate his 10 years of presence in stand-up comedy in the company of many guests.

Tuesday, May 28

One of the most recognizable voices and also the most important personalities of rock and metal music of the last thirty years, Corey Taylor, comes to Lycabettus on Tuesday 28 May with the great successes of his career, both as the singer and leader of Slipknot and Stone Sour , as well as as a solo artist.

Saturday June 1st

On Saturday June 1, Adriatique takes to the decks and the hill transforms into an endless dancefloor. The famous Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, the successful duo from Switzerland that has amazed the fans of the modern electronic scene worldwide, will give us a unique aesthetic extended set together with Echonomist, Nick Jojo and Human Rias.

Monday June 3rd

One of the most moving evenings of this summer in Lycabettus will be that of Monday, June 3. Friends, fellow travelers and collaborators of Lavrentis Mahairitsa, among them Yiannis Zouganelis, Christos Thivaios, Yiannis Kotsiras, Dimitra Papiou, Miltos Paschalidis, Dionysis Tsaknis and many more, will remember and honor the creator who left an indelible mark on Greek rock in from the tribute concert entitled “But I still exist, I’m still here”.

Friday 7, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June

The one and only Thanasis Papakonstantinou is giving him a triple date with his loyal audience, as his summer tour, in which Martha Frindzila, Yiannis Litainas, Alexandros Ktistakis are also participating, stops at the stage of Lycabettus on Friday 7th, Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June, in an explosive three days that will surely leave history.

On Monday, June 10, Marios Frangoulis and Iota Nega present “Fairy tales of love” in their first meeting on stage. The two great performers, accompanied by skilled solo musicians, will perform songs-stations from their discography as well as top songs of great composers and performers.

It was the summer of 2004 when Archive met for the first time at the theater of Lycabettus. This year, 20 years later, the protagonists and pioneers of progressive rock return to the hill on Friday, June 14 to rekindle memories and create new ones.

Wednesday, June 19

On Wednesday, June 19, one of the leading Greek rappers, Isvoleas, will celebrate 25 years of his presence in music, with a full band and with his familiar rousing energy, in an anniversary live where rap marries rebetiko, blues and the music of the Mediterranean.

Friday, June 21

On Friday June 21 comes Queen Symphonic, a concert-celebration of the most iconic hits of the legendary band Queen, performed by the lead singers of the rock musical “We Will Rock You” presented in London’s West End.

Tuesday, June 25

On Tuesday, June 25, a total of thirteen Rockwave Nights begin at the top of Lycabettus. It begins with the virtuoso violinist Ara Malikian who invites us on an unforgettable musical journey where classical musical structures are united with Mediterranean sounds and Armenian folk melodies take on strong doses of rock and pop timbre.

Wednesday, June 26

On Wednesday, June 26, Yannis Angelakas and 100°C will follow with “Electric Chair”, a musical experience where songs from his entire career will be presented, as well as soundtracks he has written for films interpreted with a different approach.

Thursday, June 27

The prosperous and timeless Pyx Lax come on Thursday, June 27 for a concert with the greatest hits of their career, “dressed” in the memories they built in this historic theater.

Friday, June 28

Dynamic follow-up to Rockwave Nights with local bands that have been missed by the public. Raining Pleasure, the leading Greek English-speaking band, reunites on Friday, June 28 to pick up where they left off, to reunite with old fans but also to meet an audience that hasn’t had the chance to enjoy them live until now .

Saturday, June 29

The next night, Saturday June 29, Rotting Christ, the biggest Greek metal band, will take the reins, who will be performing for the first time in Lycabettus and will celebrate 35 years of musical career with a special show that they prepared exclusively for this particular live.

Hat Trick are coming all the way from Thessaloniki and promise an unprecedented rock and roll experience in a single concert on Sunday, June 30.

Monday July 1st

On Monday, July 1, Alcinoos Ioannidis reunites with his historic band and together they set up an electric celebration full of favorite songs, unexpected arrangements and inventive improvisation.

Tuesday July 2nd, Wednesday July 3rd, Thursday July 4th

With a bright dance party full of colorful pop beats, the dazzling showman MIKA comes on Tuesday, July 2, while on Wednesday, July 3, the most important Swedish exponents of progressive metal, OPETH, will share the stage of the Municipal Theater of Lycabettus with the pioneers of modern progressive, Leprous , in a psychedelic look. The first part of Rockwave Nights concludes on Thursday, July 4 with Pan Pan and Years Of Youth in an “electronic utopia”, a show that will resemble a love letter to Athens from its most characteristic hill.

Friday July 5th

On Friday, July 5, Evanthia Reboutsika ascends to the theater with an exciting company: magicians, jugglers, stilt walkers, acrobats, street artists and of course her skilled musicians-constant companions accompany her in “Evanthia’s Carousel”, in an evening of romantic mood of another era.

Sunday 7 and Monday 8 July

The spectacular “The Wall – Pink Floyd’s Rock Opera” comes to Athens for the first time on Sunday 7 and Monday 8 July. Important rock musicians, great singers backed by the legendary band and contemporary dance soloists compose a performance that combines Pink Floyd music, dance, song, but also screenings of archive material from Alan Parker’s film of the same name (1979 ).

Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 July

Hans Zimmer and John Williams, two titans of film music, will play in Lycabettus in a concert with the best soundtracks of all time. Two more nights follow in the context of Rockwave: on Monday July 15, Pink Martini with the seductive China Forbes on vocals treat their beloved Greek audience to an intoxicating cocktail of classical sounds, Latin, traditional pop and jazz tunes, while on Tuesday July 16 the French soul diva Imany and Voodoo Cello, the album that bears exclusively her personal stamp from conception to execution, sets up a stirring dialogue between a unique voice and eight cellists.

Continuation with Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit: these three epic stories-productions of the small and big screen will come to life on Friday 19 July in a spectacular concert with projections, special effects, impressive lighting and the famous scores performed by the Athens Philharmonic Orchestra.

On Sunday, July 21, the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra presents a retrospective of its seventy-year career, a tribute to its creators, to the great musicians who served it, as well as to the composers, arrangers, singers, actors and soloists who honored it with the collaboration their.

Monday, July 22

“Swan Lake” with the masterful music of Tchaikovsky, one of the best and most popular ballets of all time, comes on Monday, July 22 with a fairy-tale spectacle starring two great names in dance, the First Dancers of the State Berlin Ballet Iana Salenko and Dinu Tamazlacaru, as well as Romae Capital Ballet.
