The 16th Chamber of Private Law of the TJ-SP (São Paulo Court of Justice) requested that Record inform whether it could pay a creditor of Ana Hickmann in court. The idea is to use the contractual amounts that the presenter and former model receives from the broadcaster through her legal entity to pay off a debt.

The order was made on the 8th of this month. O F5 had access to the action, filed by Daniele Banco, a financial institution that granted credit to Hickmann Serviços Ltda., a company that until last year was owned by Hickmann in partnership with her ex-husband, Alexandre Correa.

The bank says it made a credit of R$185,300 to Hickmann’s company, but received no return payment nor was it able to carry out any type of negotiation to resolve the situation. With this, the institution wants the amounts that Edir Macedo’s TV will eventually pay to the presenter’s company to be seized.

In his decision, judge Miguel Petroni Neto agreed that Record be consulted on the matter. The judge asked the broadcaster to respond within 30 days whether there are credits to be deposited into the Hickmann Serviços Ltda account.

“I grant the request and determine that Record informs whether the defendant Hickmann Serviços Ltda. has credits to be received due to legal transactions existing between the parties, and, if so, arrange for the payment of the amounts by means of a deposit to a bank account linked to this Court”, says an excerpt from the decision.

Record has up to 30 days, after being notified, to respond as to whether it could make the deposit in court. If the answer is positive, the Court would transfer the amount deposited by the issuer to the requesting bank.

Hickmann alleges that Correa made deals by forging his signature to embezzle money while the two were married. The former model’s lawyers claim that the businessman transferred R$41.8 million to private accounts, according to a technical report delivered to the defense.

Wanted by F5, Ana Hickmann’s defense confirmed the situation, but says that the case is under “judicial analysis”. Record says it does not comment on ongoing legal cases.
