Tony Ramos, 75, is doing “very well.” The person updating his current health status is no longer the medical report released by the clinic where he was admitted, but rather Lidiane, his wife of 54 years.

The actor returned home this Friday (24), after spending eight days at Hospital Samaritano, in Rio — most of the time in the Intensive Treatment Center (CTI).

“He is, with the Grace of God, very well, with medication and daily periods of rest. He cannot speak [com a imprensa]”, replied Lidiane to the WhatsApp message sent by F5 on Tony’s cell phone.

According to her, her husband “doesn’t feel anything” (“A victory”, she celebrates), and walked out of the car when he entered the house. Lidiane also says that Tony continues to do physiotherapy exercises “with the support and clinical supervision” of neurologist Paulo Niemeyer Filho “and his personal clinic of years”, doctor Viviane Belidio da Fonseca. “Anyway, one day is better than the other, with God’s permission.”

Tony was admitted to hospital on May 16th, a Thursday, and underwent brain surgery to drain a hematoma. The actor was discharged from the Intensive Treatment Center (CTI) last Wednesday (22). He had been under intense care since last Sunday (19), when he underwent new surgery.

The new operation was necessary after the artist presented coagulation disorders that resulted in the formation of new intracranial hematomas. The actor was admitted to the hospital after feeling unwell while recording a film. Both surgeries were considered a success and Tony’s recovery impressed doctors.
