Actress Maitê Proença, 66, has been unable to sell a property located in the traditional Chopin building, in Rio, next to the Copacabana Palace. In August last year, the artist had listed the property on a sales website for R$4.9 million.
However, so far it has not been successful and the value has been reduced to R$4.3 million, a discount of R$600,000.
Through social media, Maitê highlighted in the advertisement that the highlight of his apartment, “what is wonderful and different about it compared to others in the same building”, would be the light. “It is absolutely bright, it is all lit, from the rooms to the service area.”
The property, measuring 300 square meters, is located on Avenida Atlântica, one of the noblest in the capital of Rio, with Copacabana beach in front.
The building is next door to the Copacabana Palace, where Madonna stayed for her show, and the property for sale has high ceilings, side views of the beach and is perched above the glamorous swimming pool of the century-old hotel.
With a lounge, dining room, pantry, spacious kitchen, two bedrooms, a suite and a parking space, whoever purchases it will have to pay R$2,831 per month for the condominium fee, plus R$1,300 in IPTU.
Socialite Narcisa Tamborindeguy and singer-songwriter Gilberto Gil also live at Chopin.
