Actress cries when talking about separating from ‘Titanic’: ‘Nightmare’

Actress Alice Evans, 53, famous for her work on “Lost” and “The Vampire’s Diaries” cried a lot as she recalled the separation of actor Ioan Gruffudd, 48, known for having appeared in hits such as “Fantastic Four” and “Titanic”.

“We’ve been together for 20 years and I was like that Bridget Jones line: ‘married wannabe’. Those are things people go through like the loss of a parent, or infertility, you don’t know what it’s like until it happens to you “, said about the separation on the show of the presenter Lorraine Kelly.

“I thought this would never happen to me. He told me ‘I don’t love you anymore'”, recalled the actress, moved. “I’m not questioning his right to feel that, I’m not criticizing him, but he was so hostile, and so for about four months we were still here, and he kept saying he was sorry,” she recalled.

“I was freaking out. So I tweeted that he was leaving us and things got out of hand,” Evans said, referring to the tweet in which he said the actor was leaving his family without an explanation in January.

The actress said that currently Gruffudd and she only speak through lawyers and that the problem between the two began when the actor returned from filming he was doing in Australia. “We were very happy for him to go to another country and today I feel like a big idiot. He came back, hugged me, hugged the girls, gave me a dry kiss on the cheek and I saw that something was wrong”, she described.

She said she learned of her ex-husband’s new relationship through Instagram. In late October, the artist posted a photo next to actress Bianca Wallace, 28, with the phrase “thank you for making me smile again.” For Evans, Wallace and Gruffudd started to bond before the breakup.

“So it looks like my husband, after two years telling me I’m a mean, dull person, who he didn’t want to have sex with and spending all his time on sets abroad, has been in a relationship for THREE years at all. Good luck, Bianca,” joked Evans on Twitter when the romance surfaced.

Thrilled, she thanked Lorraine for the space to vent on the subject. “It’s been really hard, but I just wanted to say thank you for having me talk about what every woman’s nightmare is,” she pointed out.

The now ex-couple began to date backstage in the feature film “102 Dalmatians” (2000), they got married in 2007 and the relationship came to an end in early 2021. Together they had two daughters: Ella, 12, and Elsie, 8 .
