Fernanda Torres said that she regrets the way she treated Tony Ramos, with whom she starred in “Selva de Pedra” (1986), at the beginning of her career. Starting out in dramaturgy, Fernanda Montenegro’s daughter didn’t get along well with the soap opera format and ended up taking her anger out on the actor.

On the program Arena dos Saberes, on TV Cultura, Fernanda said that, after making films such as “Inocência” (1983), “A Marvada Carne” (1985) and”‘Com Excuse, Eu Vou à Luta” (1986), she He decided to go into soap operas. “Now I want to do a 9pm soap opera – from 8pm at the time. Then the remake of ‘Selva de Pedra’ came about to play the role that was played by Regina Duarte in the original 1972 version. And there I went”, she said.

However, the actress hated playing the girl Simone: “I hated it. That role as the girl, who kept crying, and I didn’t know the recording volume…”. “And it even happened to be ‘I Know I’m Going to Love You’ [1986] go to Cannes in the same week that the character in the soap opera went to New York. I went to Cannes, came back to record in New York, it was crazy”, he added. And all this confusion ended up falling on Tony Ramos.

“I was stuck with Simone, being beaten in a basement in a scene with Christiane Torloni, and I turned into a monster. I’m still ashamed of Tony, I’m sorry. I turned into a horrible coworker,” she said.

In the end, Fernanda said she learned from the experience and found herself on other paths to success. “I learned not to create problems. I realized that maybe I didn’t know how to do a soap opera, maybe it wasn’t for me. But I found myself in series, like ‘Tapas & Beijos’ and ‘Os Normais’, which were a language that I understood”, he added .
