Famous hip-hop group De La Soul re-released their first six albums on streaming platforms last year. It was a victory not only for the group, but also for its fans.

The reissue effort was not an easy battle, as the band had to work out contract issues, but they were eventually able to digitally re-release their entire body of work through Chrysalis Records.

De La Soul provide a full picture of this process in their new documentary, entitled ‘Chapter 3’.

“Chapter 3 chronicles the iconic recordings that led to the reissue and remaster of De La Soul’s 2023 catalog, one of the most celebrated musical collections in hip-hop. It is the journey of these four grown men with a legacy to protect, as well as the memories and moments that helped them build it. The documentary provides an intimate look into the creative process, camaraderie and passion that have defined De La Soul’s enduring legacy,” reads the description.

The documentary will be streamed tomorrow on the group’s website and social media pages.

De La Soul was formed in 1988 in Long Island, New York by Kelvin Mercer, David Zolliker and Vincent Mason.
