Jim Carrey reduces the value three times and is unable to sell the property he calls a ‘sanctuary’

by

Since the beginning of last year, actor and comedian Jim Carrey, 62, has been trying to sell a mansion located in the Brentwood neighborhood, in California, United States. He said he has already lowered the price three times and whoever has US$21.9 million, approximately R$116 million, will get the 1,179 square meter property. The initial sale price was US$28.9 million (R$153 million)

“For three decades this house has been a sanctuary for me, but now I don’t spend much time there and I want someone else to enjoy it like I did. It’s gotten too big for me,” he told the New York Post.

The home, purchased in 1994, includes glass doors that open onto a tree-lined courtyard; a large modern kitchen with a central island; a grand piano; five bedrooms; six bathrooms; three bathrooms; a tennis court; steam room; swimming pool with waterfall; Pub; chimneys; garden and a platform for meditation. It also has a gym, office, balcony and cinema in “Art Deco” style.

Retired from cinema, the actor dedicates himself to painting and his spiritual life: “I really like my quiet life, and I love putting paint on canvas, and I love my spiritual life, and I feel – and that’s something you might never hear from another famous person to say – that I have enough. I am enough”, he said in an interview with Access Hollywood in 2022.
