Celine Dion revealed in an interview with NBC that she had been taking a “lethal” dose of sedatives since being diagnosed with the syndrome Stiff Person.

The 56-year-old Grammy-winning singer said she discovered what was causing her throat to close and the various spasms she was having. Celine said the song that defines where she is at right now is ‘Courage’.

Of the fact that she was forced to stop her tours, the famous singer said, visibly moved: “I didn’t know who I was anymore, because I’m not the person I was. I wasn’t Celine Dion.”

And he added: “It was very difficult, very painful and scary. I spent my entire life in the music industry as a performer and loved every moment of it. This passion will never be lost. And one day, while I was touring, because I never stopped, I started to feel different. It was like my voice was having spasms.”

He revealed that he started having these convulsions 17 years ago and then the little “cold-like symptoms” gradually got worse.

Celine Dion, who won the Eurovision contest at the age of 20 and has sold more than 200 million records, has spoken about her start in the music industry.
