Comedian Carlinhos Mendigo is arrested for not paying pension

Comedian Carlos Alberto Silva, known as Beggar from the program Pânico, was arrested by police officers from the 2nd Police Station of Captures of DOPE for not paying pension to his son Arthur, 14. The amount would be around R$ 247 thousand to the boy, the result of a relationship with former dancer and businesswoman Aline Hauck. Carlinhos’ lawyer could not be found, and Aline’s lawyer did not respond.

Record filmed the moment of the comedian’s arrest. He was captured in the Jardim Paulista neighborhood. When contacted, the Civil Police had not yet commented.

REQUEST FOR ARREST

In February 2022, the comedian had his arrest ordered by the São Paulo Court. The Capture Division of the Department of Strategic Police Operations (Dope) took steps at the time to comply with the 30-day temporary arrest warrant. However, it had not been located.

His ex-wife’s lawyer, Aline Hauck, told UOL that the corrected value would reach R$400,000. Since 2017, Carlinhos has been fighting a legal battle with Hauck. In 2018, the comedian was also arrested and declared that he would not bear the debt. At the time, he requested a review of the values ​​and the arrest request ended up being revoked.

For the courts, since then, Carlinhos Mendigo was considered a fugitive, as he was not found at what would have been his address, in Morumbi, west of São Paulo. In 2020, he lost coverage where he lived due to not paying the mortgage. The property, located in the Real Parque neighborhood, in São Paulo, was valued at R$3 million.

In 2018, the comedian even stated, in an interview with the Câmera Record program, that “if I’m going to be arrested, I’ll go, but I’m no longer going to pay child support so I don’t see my son.” He also said he was not afraid of jail. “Child became an asset. Even if I had [dinheiro]I wouldn’t pay, unless she pays for the time I lost with my son”, he said.
