José de Abreu says he will sue Maria Zilda: ‘I’m going to prove that I don’t suffer from halitosis’

Almost a month after having a public fight with Maria Zilda over what he claimed were false accusations made by the actress, José de Abreu said he will sue her. At the end of May, the actor refuted a comment she made that he had bad breath.

José says he will also sue Murilo Rosa, who acted first in this legal battle that started on social media. Rosa filed a lawsuit at the Rio Court of Justice seeking compensation from the actor.

“I will be filing a lawsuit in the next few days against Murilo Rosa and Maria Zilda for unduly exploiting and ridiculing a false medical problem,” Abreu wrote on his X profile.

He said that he will use the testimony of actresses with whom he has worked intimately and medical reports that will prove that he does not suffer from halitosis. “We have lawyers, studying psychological, financial and moral damages worth around one million reais each. Let the courts decide.”

At the end of May, the actor responded to a comment made by Maria in a live with Murilo Rosa. The actress stated that Abreu, with whom she was a romantic partner in the soap opera “Bebê a Bordo”, in 1988, had bad breath.

When the war between the two began, the actress was talking to Murilo Rosa and, when asked if she had ever kissed someone with bad breath, she replied yes. José de Abreu. “I made a film with him. It was unbearable, he drank, it was external, he already had the smell of sweat, plus the cigarette, plus the drink. Zé was an animal.”

After the repercussions, Rosa took to Instagram to say that she would also sue Abreu. “Unacceptable. José de Abreu has just posted a photo of me accompanied by my father, who passed away 8 months ago, and my minor son. This is extremely low and had the clear intention of offending me, of attacking me using my family.”
