Kanye West Says Kim Kardashian Can’t Prove Online Attacks

Kanye West, 44, claims that his ex-wife, businesswoman and socialite Kim Kardashian, 41, cannot prove that he made the posts on social media attacking her and her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28. posts are not used at the divorce hearing scheduled for next week.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, West’s lawyers say the messages are hearsay and inadmissible in court. “Kim needed to show the social media posts in evidence and prove they were written by Kanye,” the rapper’s defense said.

Despite lawyers denying that West was the author of the posts, earlier this month the rapper wrote that he was taking “responsibility” for his social media rants about Kardashian.

“I know sharing screenshots was shocking and seemed to harass Kim. I take responsibility. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. Being a good leader is being a good listener,” West said.

The rapper also apologized for using all capital letters in the deleted posts, acknowledging that it makes people “feel like you’re yelling at them.

Earlier this week, Kardashian begged a judge to sign her divorce papers, explaining that the rapper’s posts were causing “emotional distress”.

“I really want a divorce. Kanye has been posting a lot of misinformation about our private affairs and co-parenting on social media, which has created emotional distress,” the socialite said.
