The series of radio documentaries presented by Aris Portosalte is dedicated to the life of Napoleon Bonaparte.

He is a controversial personality who was a brilliant general, politician, defender of freedoms, reformer and also the soldier who bled the whole of Europe.

In the broadcast of Sunday, June 16, in the last part of the series of broadcasts about Napoleon Bonaparte, the lawyer Yannis Theodoropoulos, graduate of the Institute of Advanced European Studies of the University of Strasbourg and scientific associate at Panteion University, was invited. The discussion concerned the assessment of Napoleon’s personality starting with the question of whether he could be compared to Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. Napoleon was an 18th century man steeped in the encyclopedists, a follower of Rousseau and Voltaire and a man of the Enlightenment. In addition to the wars, he was also known in history for a series of reforms that he implemented in Administration, Education and the Economy at the beginning of the 19th century, affecting all of Europe.

The scientific editor is Mr. Konstantinos Koliopoulos, professor of International Relations and Strategic Studies at the University of Piraeus.
