Depiction of a beloved ‘Simpsons’ character discovered inside a 3,500-year-old Egyptian mummy.

Archaeologists, according to MailOnline, found on the inside lid of a coffin, a drawing of a woman in yellow in a long, green dress with blue hair in a rectangular shape, similar to the appearance of Marge Simpson.

The photo of the ancient coffin was recently shared on Reddit where it sparked excitement from people on the platform who asked “Marge?”. They even joked that “egypt predicted the simpsons».

While the image bears a striking resemblance to the cartoon character, experts believe it depicts the woman buried in the coffin as she traveled to the afterlife.

The Egyptian coffin contained the mummified remains of Tadi Ist, the daughter of the high priest of El-Ashmunein, a city located on the west bank of the Nile River and 27 miles south of where she was buried at Minya.

Archaeologists discovered the coffin in early 2023 and found the Marge Simpson-like design inside the lid surrounded by a dozen priestesses representing the 12 hours of the day.

The Simpsons predict the future

For years, people have said the “Simpsons” show predicts future events, often citing the 1992 episode that predicted Washington’s victory over the Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl VXVI and a 2000 episode that showed Donald Trump as president.

In 1990, “The Simpsons” predicted the censorship of Michelangelo’s David, which came to fruition last year when a Florida principal was forced to resign over complaints about a lesson in which she displayed the statue.

One person commented on Reddit that the coffin design is “the only documented time in history where The Simpsons didn’t do it first.”
