British pop star Lily Allen advocates the return of the Parthenon Sculptures from the British Museum to the Acropolis Museum in the new episode of the podcast ‘Miss Me?’ co-presenting on behalf of the BBC.

On the occasion of a recent visit with her 9-year-old daughter to Athens and the “unbelievable”, as she describes it, Acropolis Museum, Ms. Allen says she was surprised by the realization of the importance and quantity of the Sculptures missing from Athens.

The co-host of the podcast Mikita Olivercharacterizes Lord Elgin’s seizure of ancient Greek treasures as “outrageous theft”, with both of them attributing his act to British colonial arrogance.

Finally, Lily Allen states: “Although I’m not good at getting the British public on my side, I really think we should give the Marbles back. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to me (them staying in London).”

The podcast Miss Me? deals with a wide variety of topics through the personal experiences of its two popular British presenters and has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers across various listening platforms.
