Balmain’s artistic director himself, Olivier Rousteing, introducing the video for this campaign wrote:

“A dream for me as a child, growing up watching Simba’s story. I was 9 years old when I first saw THE LION KING. What a trip!! when I think about it.
Working with Disney was a dream come true. Passion, strength, Hope, LOVE.

I had the most incredible trip to AFRICA, my native continent. I cannot explain to you the joy and tears of love we had with all the models and the production.

We didn’t just shoot a campaign, we wanted to create STORY and celebrate love and UNITY.
The passion that unites us all and the hope for a better future”.
