“Lack of respect. No one should be allowed to be barefoot in places like this,” one user wrote on social media
Kendall Jennermodel, entrepreneur, reality star “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” recently posted photos on Instagram documenting her visit to the Louvre Museum in Paris at midnight, while it was closed to the public. She was barefoot, a detail that many have highlighted on social media.
The model was in Paris for Fashion Week and in addition to visiting the Louvre, she rode in a Vogue World show and walked the streets of the French capital with her boyfriend, a Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny.
Jenner was given a private tour shortly after midnight at the Museum and appears barefoot in front of masterpieces of art.
Photos posted on Instagram show Jenner standing in front of the Museum’s largest painting, Paolo Veronese’s The Wedding at Cana (1563), Antonio Canova’s sculpture Cupid and Psyche ( Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss) of 1787 and a close-up of the painted ceiling of one of the Museum’s rooms.
Jenner is seen standing barefoot in front of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa and the iconic 2nd century BC Venus of Milos marble sculpture.
“The Louvre at Midnight” she captioned the photo with fans assuming it was taken by her partner Bad Bunny.
There were many users on social media who were quick to comment negatively on Jenner’s specific move, pointing out that she has different treatment from the common people.
“Lack of respect. No one should be allowed to be barefoot in places like this.” mentioned in a comment.
“We understand that. You are too rich, you can open the Museum at midnight just to walk barefoot through the historic halls,” another user wrote.
There are, however, fans of Kendall Jenner who didn’t focus on the fact that she wasn’t wearing shoes. “Kendall, your beauty is breathtaking!” was one of the comments.

Other celebrities have also received special treatment at the Louvre in the past. The Museum partnered with Beyoncé for her album release in 2018. The singer and her husband Jay-Z released a video for the song “Apeshit” to promote their album Everything Is Love. Much of the music video was shot at the Louvre, and the video included footage of masterpieces from its collection.
