The charming actor Richard Gere will make his big return to the small screen with the spy thriller “The Agency,” according to Variety. He will star with Michael Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright.

The new Paramount+ series in collaboration with Showtime is based on the French drama “The Bureau”. It follows “an undercover CIA agent named Martian (Fassbender), who is ordered to abandon his mission and return to the London station. The hero’s career and true identity collide when the love he left resurfaces, raising the stakes already high,” according to the series description.

The shooting of the series has already started in London. Jez and John-Henry Butterworth are writing the script and executive producing. Joe Wright directed the first two episodes and is an executive producer with Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, George Clooney and Grant Hislove among others.
