I see injustice in this hypocritical court, says Allan Souza Lima about criticism of Rafa Kalimann

Actor Allan Souza Lima, 38, is about to face a big challenge: he will return to a 9pm soap opera after almost 10 years, when he starred in “A Regra do Jogo” (2015). The actor has already started filming scenes for “Mania de Você”, which will replace “Renascer” in September. He will play Guga, a sailor of questionable character who has a lover played by Mariana Ximenes.

“We started filming last week and I’m happy because I was able to fit this work into my schedule. I’m only going to do the first phase, because then I’ll have to continue the second season of ‘Cangaço Novo'”, says the artist, about the work for Prime Video.

The Pernambuco native, who can also be seen in the recently released film “Salamandra”, is going through a good phase in his career, with a lot of projects. But he doesn’t like to classify this as the best moment of his career. “This profession is a giant wheel and there are moments of peak and others of harvest. Obviously, doing a 9pm soap opera with João Emanuel Carneiro has a weight, but I see it as just another life’s work. I’ve been climbing step by step for years. It’s a daily construction of this purpose”, he says.

In addition to the film, the next soap opera and “Cangaço Novo 2”, Allan says he also finds time to finish a documentary that he started at the beginning of the year and that is based on clowning, mixing people, stories and real testimonies.

He also plans to release a feature film as a director by the end of 2025, with a science fiction theme that will portray a civilization decimated after a pandemic or war (to be determined). On Earth, only a poet and a guerrilla fighter will be left. “I already have in mind that one of them will be played by the actor Alejandro Claveaux, who I consider the best of my generation. And the other will be played by Thomás Aquino,” he says.

However, all this happiness with the new projects in the pipeline contrasts with the hardship of having to deal with the criticism that his girlfriend, Rafa Kalimann, 31, has been receiving on social media. He considers it unfair.

“One thing is certain: we live in a time when it’s almost as if someone else’s sin is different from mine, but in the end, it’s all the same. That’s why I don’t feed on social media,” she says. In June, Rafa was criticized for revealing that she sometimes changes the text by Daniel Ortiz, author of “Família É Tudo”, a soap opera in which she plays the villain Jéssica. A religious woman, Rafa doesn’t say the word “desgraçada” (wretched). At the beginning of the soap opera, she also saw people on the internet complaining about her performance as a newcomer.

“I see injustice in this hypocritical court, she dedicates herself every day. I help her, with my expertise of over 20 years, analytically pointing out what she can change, bring new. It bothered me to see her bombarded, because she is doing what she can and starting like everyone else has already started”, argues Allan.

According to him, the idea is to one day be able to act with his beloved, with whom he started a relationship in March of this year. Until that moment comes, he says, the intention will be to preserve the relationship. Shy, he says that he prefers to keep his life as a couple more discreet, despite knowing that the exposure is very great and inevitable.

“There is a difference between invasion of privacy and lack thereof. It is natural for people to want to know about our lives, but invasion is up to us to veto. I am averse to social media, my life is quiet, I like to go into the woods. I take great care to be, in quotation marks, a normal person,” he comments.
