Sharon Stone gave an interview to the “Hollywood Reporter” and talked about the serious adventure she had with her health – she suffered a stroke – in 2001.

The actress, who we all remember from the movie Basic Instinct, revealed that she lost $18 million in savings after the stroke, which left her bleeding on the brain for nine days. According to her, there were several people who took advantage of her during her seven-year recovery, while Hollywood also turned its back on her.

“I had saved $18 million, but when I saw my bank account it was all gone. My fridge, my phone, everything, was in other people’s names. I didn’t have any money”Stone said.

The 66-year-old actress, who in recent years has also been involved in painting, said that the adventure she had with her health changed
100% the way her brain works and the way she thinks. “A Buddhist monk told me I was reincarnated in the same body,” Stone explained.

And he continued: “I had a near-death experience and then I was brought back. Everything changed. My sense of smell, my sight, my touch. I couldn’t read for a few years. A lot of people thought I was going to die.”

Now healed, the “Casino” star noted that she was able to move on – after losing her money – because she decided to “stay present and let go”.

“I decided not to get hung up on being sick or any bitterness or anger. If you bite the seed of bitterness, it never leaves you. But if you keep the faith, even if that faith is the size of a mustard seed, you will survive. So, I live for joy now.”
