Costner and his team plan to resume shooting the third installment in August
The premiere of the second part of the ambitious four-part western series by hand has been postponed Kevin Costnersince the first film was not a satisfactory box office.
Horizon: An American Saga running three hours and one minute, it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May to mixed reviews. It debuted in theaters on June 28 with just $11 million and has grossed less than $25 million worldwide.

The second film’s August 16 release has now been pushed back “to give audiences a greater opportunity to discover the $100 million first,” according to a statement provided to The Hollywood Reporter by Territory Pictures and New Line Cinema.
As part of this effort, the first part will debut on Premium VOD on July 16.
