On his way from the dressing room to the stage of Carnival in the City, DJ Alok, 30, showed all the details to his sons Raika,1, and Ravi,2. Accompanied by his wife, Romana Novais, the music producer was very smiling with the presence of the family, which was reflected in his performance filled with his hits and those of other composers, such as Bastille and Ed Sheeran.
At various points in the show, Alok looked at his children and interacted with them, while Romana saw to it that neither of them ran away. The DJ closed the third day of concerts at the music festival, at the Jockey Club in São Paulo, with lots of electronic music and asking the audience not to stand still. “Let’s jump until we can’t take it anymore,” he said.
Before the DJ, the audience jumped a lot to the sound of axé music by Banda Eva. Vocalist Felipe Pezzoni, 37, kept his energy and breath high to command the show during the two hours on stage at the Jockey Club, even with a frantic show schedule.
“Are we going to bring the Trio Elétrico and Bahia to São Paulo? I missed singing and seeing you singing with me. My voice is not the best today, so I need everyone’s help”, said Felipe, who is with a frantic touring schedule.
Luan Santana, on the other hand, did not lose his rhythm in terms of improvisation. With the duo Breno and Caio Cesar, both 25, and the singer Yasmin Santos, 24, he sang classics of country music and national rock. Among the songs that Luan sang on the show are the hits “Meteoro” and “Sinais”, as well as versions of songs by the bands Capital Inicial and Paralamas do Sucesso.
“The public is asking and I can’t help but rescue the old songs. It’s been a long time since we sang these [músicas]this public here deserves it”, said Luan.
Several celebrities also visited the Jockey Club this Monday to enjoy the shows, such as Maisa, Carol Marra and Gleici Damasceno. “I’m Luan’s biggest fan and wherever he is I’ll be there, enjoying everything. He released a new song, which I’ve memorized the lyrics to sing today!”, revealed Maisa, about the song “Emotional Abalo”.
This Tuesday (1st), Anitta, DDP and Jorge and Mateus close the last day of Carnival in the City.
