Shannen Doherty’s co-stars paid tribute on social media just hours after news of her death broke
Her co-stars Shannen Dohertyin the legendary series “Heartbeats in Beverly Hills”a few hours after the news of her death became known, after a long and difficult battle with cancer, paid tribute on social media.
Shannen Doherty was 53 years old and had been fighting cancer bravely for the last few years. She often shared her anguish and thoughts with her thousands of fans through her posts.
TV audiences were first introduced to Brandon (Jason Priestley) and Brenda Walsh (the late Shannen Doherty), and the cast of characters involved – including the late Luke Perry (who played Dylan McKay); Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), Donna Martin (Tori Spelling), David Silver (Brian Austin Green), Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering), Andrea Zuckerman (Gabrielle Carteris), Valerie Macon (Tiffani Thiessen) and Emily Valentine (Christine McCarthy) in October 4, 1990. It ran for ten seasons until 2000.
The series was originally rebooted in 2008 with a new cast (although several of the original teen soap stars such as Garth, Doherty and Spelling made occasional appearances) and in the summer of 2019 took on a completely new look, with much of the original cast rejoins ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’. The show’s cast experienced tragedy before its air date when Perry died after suffering a stroke at the age of 52 on March 4, 2019.

Jennie Garth
From the time she played the problematic “Kelly”, the Jenny Garth, has done a lot of TV work, including the sitcom “What I Like About You” starring Amanda Bynes, which ended in 2006.
Garth played one of the lead characters on the ABC sitcom ‘Mystery Girls’ – for one season – alongside her ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ co-star Tori Spelling.
After splitting from ex-husband Peter Facinelli, with whom she has three daughters, Garth married Dave Abrams in 2015 and they have remained together ever since, even after 10 months of separation.

Spelling played “Kelly’s” best friend, Donna Martin, who was originally written as a minor character but developed into a main character over the course of the series.
Since then, the actress has filled her time with a few reality shows, including “So Notorious” and “Tori & Dean: Inn Love” and a 2016 vampire film. In 2019, she reprized the role of Donna in the reboot of ‘BH90210’. Off screen, Spelling is a mother of five.

The Canadian actor played the -always- moral High School heartthrob Brandon Walsh from 1990 to 2000, leaving at the start of the ninth season. The actor, however, has played leading roles in a few television projects, such as the Canadian series ‘Call Me Fitz’ (2010-2013) and ‘Private Eyes’ (2016-2021), and has also directed some episodes. After leaving the series in 1995 to host a talk show, Carteris took a break from VH1’s “Surreal Life.” The actress was partially paralyzed for months after suffering a serious injury on the set of her 2006 film Lifetime Past Tense, but is now in good health. She is married and has two daughters.
