Being the son of millionaires doesn’t always mean that life will be easy all the time. Just ask David Banda, 18, son of singer Madonna, 65, and British filmmaker Guy Ritchie, 55. In a live on Instagram, the boy answered very sincerely about what his routine has been like since leaving his mother’s house.

“It’s a lovely experience to arrive at 9pm, be hungry and realize that I don’t have enough money to buy food, but [também] We don’t have enough food at home and we have to go out and scavenge, he said. “It’s fun to be young.”

Banda, who recently left the singer’s luxury apartment on New York’s posh Upper East Side, has moved to the Bronx to live with his girlfriend, Colombian model Maria Atuesta, 21. He has been giving guitar lessons to earn money.

“I’m not alone, I have my girlfriend,” he continued on the live. “I love it.”

However, it seems that Banda was simply exaggerating his situation. According to a source who told People magazine, he and Madonna remain close. The singer, whose net worth in 2023 was estimated at US$580 million (R$3.24 billion) by Forbes, has always supported her six children.

The band was even with Madonna in Brazil during the historic show that the singer did on Copacabana beach, in Rio de Janeiro, in May. Throughout the Celebration tour, he shared vocals with his mother and played guitar on some songs.
